I am over the moon excited to announce the next pop up shop being held at the tea shop because all of the proceeds from this pop up will go to support women and girls who have escaped the sex trafficking trade in India. Read a little about this organization below and go to the face book page to learn more (Kurinji Gifts).

Kurinji Gifts are handcrafted by girls and women from Calcutta, who have escaped sex trafficking and been given a new start, full of hope and dignity. Available for purchase will be one-of-a-kind, hand crafted journals with hand-bound pages made from reclaimed cotton fabrics & woolen blankets, and covered with three layers of vintage sari material, the traditional garment of Indian women and hand crafted. Each journal made helps a girl rewrite her life story. Handwritten notes to you are inside each journal. We invite you to look up their meanings. (Hint: they are written in her native language of Bengali and can be translated on google translator).  Also available will be blankets that are hand-stitched with two layers of vintage sari material, embellished with a running kantha stitch.  They are reversible, each side unique and beautiful.   With each purchase, you are enriching a life and truly making a difference.
